Arriving at Sendai Station and unsure which bus to take or what to see? This official counter has English-speaking staff, local maps, sightseeing brochures and transport information. It moved to the station's 3rd floor in November 2025.

Go to JR Sendai Station's 3rd floor, between the Shinkansen Central and South Gates. The desk moved from the 2nd-floor concourse on November 27, 2025, so older guides and map photos can point to the former location.
What you can ask about
Staff can help with sightseeing spots, how to reach them, local food suggestions and transportation. You can pick up Sendai and Miyagi maps, sightseeing pamphlets, and information for the Loople Sendai sightseeing bus. Accommodation booking is not offered.
English support versus opening hours
The counter is open 8:30–19:00 year-round, except 9:00–17:00 from December 31 to January 3. Current SenTIA guidance distinguishes those opening hours from staffed service and telephone hours of 9:00–17:00. Outside staffed hours, AI tourist guidance is available; do not assume an English-speaking person will be there. Other languages can be supported through translation devices during staffed service.
Practical limitations
The bus-search touch panel is Japanese-only. The desk provides information but does not arrange accommodation bookings. For confirmation of staff availability or a particular request, call during staffed hours.
Official sources and freshness
Checked October 18, 2026. City and SenTIA information confirms the 3F location. Because some older language versions and map photos still mention the former 2F desk, follow the current 3F guidance.
For residency, paperwork or multilingual daily-life concerns rather than sightseeing, compare the local support routes. The tourist desk is for travel information.
