The current SenTIA page lists administrative scriveners, lawyers from the Sendai Bar Association, Miyagi Labour Bureau staff, Sendai Regional Immigration Bureau staff, Tohoku Tax Accountants’ Association tax accountants, and staff from Sendai City Entrepreneurship Support Center ASSISTA.
What issues fit this route
Published topics include residence status and administrative procedures, family/divorce/inheritance, debt, real estate, traffic accidents and contracts, wages/hours/leave/employment problems, immigration and residency procedures, taxes, and starting or running a business.
How the sessions work
Consultations are free, confidential, held in a private room, and limited to 30 minutes per person. The current page says all specialist consultations run from 13:00 to 16:00, with a Multicultural Center staff member present.
Language support and booking
When applying, provide your contact details, nationality, residence status, the issue you want to discuss, your preferred language and whether an interpreter is needed. SenTIA says an interpreter will be provided as necessary, including English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Nepali. Reservation is required and the current date depends on the specialist schedule.
